A striking Victorian townhouse transformed into a fun and vibrant restaurant and cocktail bar with bedrooms in the heart of Bury St Edmunds
Designer Floors by Macfloor were involved in the hotel refurbishment and installation of new “Newhay” carpets to the bar area.
The main restaurant and private dinning was amtico signature range laid in a blocked parquet flooring
The main entrance to the hotel was installed Karndean Kaleidoscope LVT.
The hotel was closed for 10 days whilst the refurbishment was taking place. The main flooring project was the LVT (luxury vinyl tiles) – with the hotel being over 200 years old the floorboards were solid oak and had been sanded and varnished several times so were not suitable for direct installation. We recommend the floorboards were over layed with 6mm Ply board fully fixed and then screed over to form a smooth level surface for the LVT. The dining areas were laid to a Paquet black pattern and border hand cut by our professional fitting team prior to installation.
For the main entrance and hotel lobby our client had chosen Karndean Kaleidoscope LVT which our team fitted individually with a complimented border.
